David Barringer

David Barringer is an experienced professional with a strong background in engineering and management positions. David currently holds the position of Director of Platform Engineering and QA at Twill, where they have been working since 2023. Prior to Twill, David served as an Engineering Manager at Copado from 2021 to 2023, leading a team of Solutions Architects and Senior DevSecOps Engineers. David also held the role of Engineering Manager at New Context from 2019 to 2021. Earlier in their career, David worked as a DevOps Engineer at Fastenal Company and as a DevOps Consultant at ReleaseTEAM. David has extensive experience in release engineering and QA, having worked at companies such as The Cincinnati Insurance Companies and UGS. David's diverse skill set includes expertise in various technologies such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Cloud Computing Services (Azure), Python, Golang (Go), Terraform, Chef, Docker, and automation.

David Barringer obtained their Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Cincinnati, where they studied from 1979 to 1984. David also holds various certifications, including "Automate Your Deployments on Kubernetes with GitHub Actions and Argo GitOps" from Maven, "GitOps At Scale Level II" from Codefresh, "GitLab Certified CI/CD Associate" from GitLab, "HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate" from HashiCorp, and several others.
