Derrick Carpenter

Derrick Carpenter has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Derrick is currently serving as the Vice President of Product, Platform Intelligence at Twill. Prior to this, Derrick was the Chief Operating Officer/Head of Strategy at Unlikely Collaborators, where they led a startup from ideation to go-to-market and achieved significant growth.

Derrick has also held leadership positions at Happify Health as the VP of Digital Coaching Solutions and at Quiet Leadership Institute as an Instructor and Coach. At Quiet Leadership Institute, they facilitated executive courses and coached leaders on empowering introverts in the workplace.

In addition, Derrick has served as the Primary Instructor at the University of Pennsylvania for the Penn Resilience Program and as the President of Vive Training, Inc., where they delivered coaching and training on personal well-being.

Earlier in their career, Derrick worked as an Executive Officer at Team Concepts, Inc., managing high-performance teamwork workshops. Derrick also worked as a Research Consultant at LEADERSHIP Philadelphia and as a Senior Research Coordinator at the University of Pennsylvania.

Throughout their career, Derrick has demonstrated expertise in product management, strategy, coaching, and research.

Derrick Carpenter completed their Bachelor's degree in Mathematics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2000 to 2004. Derrick then pursued Cross-Registration Coursework in Psychology at Harvard University from 2002 to 2004. Later, Derrick earned a Masters degree in Applied Positive Psychology at the University of Pennsylvania from 2006 to 2007.
