Raudel Sandoval has over 20 years of work experience. From 2013 to present, they have worked as a Virtual Lab Manager for HappiLabs.org, where they are responsible for researching and collecting laboratory equipment, reagent, and lab consumable data for analysis and comparison of quality and features, as well as negotiating with vendors and sales representatives for preferred account pricing. From 1999 to 2013, they worked at the University of Illinois at Chicago in various roles. As a Research Assistant Professor, they studied the role of LIN-9 in mammalian cell cycle and its interaction with pocket proteins, p107 and p130, and the transcription factor, B-Myb, in the regulation of G1/S gene transcription. As a Postdoctoral Research Associate, their research focused on type I interferon receptor signaling and interaction with associated tyrosine kinases, regulating downstream activators of apoptosis. Lastly, as a Teaching Assistant, they assisted the UIC Urban Health Program by preparing and coordinating review class sessions for medical students enrolled in medical pharmacology course, reviewing medical pharmacology material for minority medical students of the Urban Health Program, and helping participants prepare for USMLE Step 1 exams.
Raudel Sandoval obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Pharmacology from the University of Illinois Chicago in 2002, after completing a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biological Sciences from the same university in 1994.
