UE Technical Artist - Architectural Visualisation

We’re looking for an ambitious and imaginative Unreal Technical Artist - Architectural Visualisation to join our team in London and take the next steps on our journey with us.

YOUR ROLE
You are part of a team of passionate creatives, developers and producers who create world-class visualisation and technology solutions that help transform customer experience, collaboration and communication.

The UE Technical Artist will be working on an ambitious 3D content pipeline leveraging their technical creative CG skills across architectural visualisation, home styling and lighting to produce 3D stills and video content for the web.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of working with Unreal Engine, producing photoreal interior environments using Lumen and Pathtracer. Deep knowledge of texture and material creation using Substance Painter and PBR scanning methods, plus experience in 3DS Max and an offline renderer would be beneficial.

We are looking for an artist who can take a brief and use their initiative and creative and technical skills to produce beautiful photoreal interior and product imagery. A keen interest and knowledge of real world architecture would be beneficial.

You will work alongside our team of creatives and CG generalists to interpret creative briefs, layout, lookdev and light to ensure that we deliver against the highest standards.

OBJECTIVES AND DELIVERABLES

● Deliver the highest quality assets, images and animations.
● Shader and material creation.
● Create the interior layout of assets in a room scene.
● Set up and develop lighting styles.
● Execute chalk visuals/renders to still briefs.
● Work with the producers to ensure all renders are product correct prior to handover.
● Ensure that all files handed over to the Retouch and Dev teams are pre-checked and pre-approved with no render errors or data quality issues.

KEY SKILLS

● Ability to work with a large number of asset and material variants according to client brief and references.
● Excellent lighting and texturing skills.
● Photo-real shader development using the latest techniques.
● Strong understanding of colour theory.
● Good artistic skills (proportion, colour, composition).
● Effectively execute all necessary assigned tasks while under tight production schedule deadlines.
● Strong creative and technical abilities.
● Excellent problem solving skills.
● Positive attitude.
● Work well in a team environment.

SOFTWARE SKILLS

● Proficient in one major DCC Digital Content Creation package (please list).
● Expert knowledge of Unreal Engine.
● Experienced with Adobe Creative Suite, in particular Substance Painter/Designer.
● Experience with 3DS Max and offline rendering would be beneficial.
