Syed Haris Ali has a wealth of experience in software engineering. In 2019, they joined Happy Health as Principal Software Architect and later became Director of Software, where they were responsible for building the mobile, web, and backend teams. From 2017 to 2019, they worked as a Mobile Audio Contractor at FiLMiC Inc., where they created a new audio pipeline and a variety of custom audio related UI elements. In 2014, they also worked as a Freelance Software Engineer for Beats Music, where they wrote a macOS audio player application and a Mac application to provide a dashboard for viewing real-time metrics. From 2011 to 2014, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Pulselocker, where they wrote the client for the Pulselocker prototype and co-developed the software architecture. In 2010, they worked as a Signal and Acoustics Research at Johns Hopkins University, where they used an eigenmike and beamforming algorithms to help program an accelerometer to a pair of headphones.

Syed Haris Ali attended The Johns Hopkins University from 2007 to 2011 where they earned a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering.
