Head of R&D at Happy Ocean Foods

Mufan Guo has been working in the food industry since 2015. Mufan began their career at Cargill as a Senior Scientist - Emulsifier and a Protein Scientist. In these roles, they were the Technical Lead of Emulsifier Product Line for the North American region, drove new business developments and new product innovations across the lecithin portfolio, and lead demand creation projects. Mufan also brought expertise of protein chemistry to innovations and developed new products, and built and maintained a knowledge base in plant-based proteins. In 2021, they took on the role of Head of R&D at Happy Ocean Foods.

Mufan Guo has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Food Science from the University of Minnesota, a Master of Business Administration - MBA from Mannheim Business School, a Master's degree in Food Science from the University of Minnesota, and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Food Science and Technology from Jiangnan University. Additionally, Mufan Guo has obtained certifications from Coursera in Presentation Skills: Designing Presentation Slides and Private Equity and Venture Capital, as well as a professional scrum master I certification from Scrum.org.
