Heather Jorgenson serves as Harbor Foods Group Director of Human Resources. Heather joined Harbor in December 2012 and has been an integral part of Harbor’s exponential growth management for the past eight very busy years, with a major move to our Lacey Corporate Headquarters in 2014, and the major acquisition and absorption of a new company purchased in 2019. Heather’s dedication to Harbor’s policy, process and proactive employee development, along with numerous and growing employee oversight and initiatives, have benefited from her inclusive leadership, unwavering integrity and sensitivity towards the diversity of all Harbor employees. Heather has built and created Harbor HR as comprehensive and engaging resource with a current HR team of four friendly professionals that reflect her attentiveness to innovation, vision and support for all.
Heather is home-grown in the south Puget Sound region from her childhood through her academic background, which includes a B.A. degree from the University of Washington-Tacoma with advanced graduate certification in Human Resources Management and Professional Development, and recent post-graduate certification from Gonzaga University in Women’s Leadership, 2019.
Outside work, Heather enjoys traveling to Hawaii as well as boating on the Sound, all sports, especially soccer, and being a soccer coach, as well as family time outdoors and hanging with her husband Chris and their two girls, and beloved yellow Lab, Lewis, and Little Man, the family cat.
