Lila offers deep expertise in developing healthy, resilient local communities. She has a rich background in urban and regional planning and has worked with diverse community development organizations to address issues such as workforce development and the strengthening of public infrastructure. Her expertise includes leading strategic planning and facilitation processes, managing systems change evaluations, and building organizational capacity for monitoring, evaluation and learning. Lila is an accomplished researcher and skilled in quantitative and qualitative research methods including community-based participatory research methods and geospatial analysis. She is fluent in Spanish.
Prior to joining Harder+Company, Lila held several positions with public agencies and private firms, contributing to participatory needs assessments, evaluations, impact studies, and technical assistance efforts on a range of topics. Most recently, she served as integration and learning manager at First 5 LA. She has also coordinated broad community outreach and data collection in the Watts Community for Los Angeles Council District 15. Lila is an avid hiker and backpacker and has completed the Sierra Club Wilderness Travel Course.
