Matias Rey

Matias Rey has a diverse work experience in the field of service design and related roles. Matias started their career at Professional Foodservice, where they worked as a Technical Service Assistant, conducting research and designing environments for various food service establishments.

Matias then joined HSP Holdings Inc. as a Service Designer & Consultant for a short period. Matias later worked at Savannah College of Art and Design as a Film Studios Work Study, where they managed equipment rental and guided students on equipment usage.

At LIQUID Venture Studio, they served as a Product & Service Design Intern, contributing to research and design solutions for an e-commerce project for a nationwide supermarket. Matias also interned at LIQUID - Agency, conducting research and applying design insights to a different project.

Matias gained valuable experience at Google as a Service Designer, working on SCADpro projects. Matias also served as an Engagement Manager at Savannah Chapter of Service Design Network, managing activities related to service design engagement.

Matias further expanded their expertise at Savannah College of Art and Design, working as a Docent at the SCAD Museum of Art. Matias provided guided tours and educational services to museum visitors.

Currently, Matias is working at Harmonic Design, where they started as a Service Design Intern and progressed to the role of Associate Service Designer. Matias is currently employed as a Service Designer, leveraging their skills to contribute to the company's service design initiatives.

In addition to their core work experience, Matias has also taken on additional roles. Matias worked as a Content Creator for Colectivo23, specifically for the inauguration of a Service Design course. Matias also served as an Inspiration Shot - Presenter for the same company.

Matias Rey began their education journey in 2000, attending Colegio Franklin Delano Roosevelt, American School of Lima, where they obtained their High School Diploma in 2015. In 2015, they went on to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Service Design at the Savannah College of Art and Design, graduating in 2019 with Summa Cum Laude honors. Matias then enrolled at Harrisburg University of Science and Technology in 2020 to pursue a Master's degree in Project Management. Matias is expected to complete their studies in 2022. Additionally, Matias has obtained several certifications, including "Branding Foundations," "Marketing Foundations: Customer Segmentation," "Marketing Foundations: Market Research," "Finance Foundations," "Accounting Foundations," "Marketing Foundations," "Strategic Planning Foundations," and "Managerial Economics" from Lynda.com, with various completion dates between 2017 and 2018.
