Mariana Wanessa Santana de Souza has a strong background in scientific research and development, particularly in the field of infant nutrition. Starting in 2010, they worked as an R&D Manager at Invita Nutrição for five years, where they gained valuable experience in managing research and development activities. In 2015, they transitioned to the role of Scientific Researcher at Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, where they continued to contribute to the scientific field until 2023. Currently, they are serving as a Formulation Scientist at Harmony Baby Nutrition, where they play a crucial role in creating infant formulas. Mariana holds a Ph.D. and is considered one of Harmony's leading scientists in the area of infant nutrition.

Following their Master's, they furthered their education by pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Food Science at the same institution from 2015 to 2019.
