Maxwell Norris

Maxwell Norris is a skilled metallurgist with extensive experience in the mining industry. Currently serving as Principal Metallurgist at Harmony Gold Mining Company Limited since August 2023, Maxwell has held various leadership roles at Ok Tedi Mining Limited, including Superintendent Metallurgical Support and Superintendent Metallurgical Projects since January 2021. Previous roles include Superintendent Metallurgy, Senior Metallurgist, Plant Metallurgist, Metallurgical Accountant, and Metallurgical Laboratory Supervisor at Newcrest Mining from February 2012 to June 2020. Maxwell began the professional journey as a Vacation Student at Morobe Mining Joint Ventures in late 2010. Maxwell holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mineral Processing from PNG University of Technology and is pursuing a Bachelor of Business in Applied Economics and a Certificate in Process Safety Management through online programs.
