Alex Lowrie has over 17 years of experience in the finance and investment industry. In 2004, they began their career at Deutsche Bank, working in Pan European equities sales trading. Alex then moved to Royal Bank of Scotland Business in 2009, where they held the role of Pan European cash equities sales trading. Head of Scandinavian execution. In 2013, they joined Worldwide Currencies as Head of Institutional Clients. In 2017, they were appointed as Non Executive Director of Piran Resources Limited, a mining company focused on the production and exploration of tin and tantalum in Rwanda. Alex also became Non Executive Director of HARNESS Data Intelligence, a data science company specialising in Commercial Real Estate, and Li-Cycle, a lithium-ion (li-ion) battery recycling company. In 2018, they were appointed Non Executive Director of Skaland Graphite AS. In 2019, they joined Energy Revolution Ventures as Investment Committee, an early-stage, deep-tech VC firm focusing on clean energy that has a positive impact on climate. Alex has also been Partner at Telemark Capital LLP since 2014.
Alex Lowrie attended Durham University from 1994 to 1997, where they obtained a Comb. Soc. Sci in Financial Economics & management. Alex then attended the College of Law, Guildford from 1997 to 1998. In 2012, they completed an Executive MBA at Henley Business School.
