Amanda Marshall, PE, CFM, ENV SP, currently serves as the Assistant Director of Capital Projects for Harris County Precinct 2, where Amanda leads a multidisciplinary team to execute projects in alignment with the Revive2Thrive initiative. Prior to this role, Amanda held positions at the Harris County Engineering Department, including Interim Team Lead and Project Manager, managing capital project portfolios and delivery. Amanda’s experience also encompasses project management for storm and street capital projects at the City of Houston, and engineering roles as a Graduate Engineer and Engineer Intern, with a foundational education in Civil Engineering from Louisiana Tech University. Amanda's expertise is reinforced by a strong academic background, having earned both a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, complemented by a high school diploma from the Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts.

Precinct 2 encompasses nearly 560 square miles of east Harris County spanning from the back roads of Huffman to the bustling shops in Webster, the lucrative petrochemical plants in Baytown, and the unique small businesses of East Aldine. With over 1,300 miles of roads, 17 community centers, 15 municipalities, and 12 school districts within its boundaries, the sense of community is strong. Also unique to Precinct 2 is the number of access points to open water, as well as the only free public beach in Harris County – Sylvan Beach Park.
