Dr. R. Karthikeyan

Dr. R. Karthikeyan has extensive experience in the field of clinical psychology and training & development. Dr. R. is the Founder & National Vice President of the Clinical Psychology Society of India, where they started their role in August 2022. Dr. R. served as a Board Member at the International Federation of Training and Development Organisations since May 2018.

Dr. Karthikeyan was the Managing Director of Gemba Management Consulting Pvt. Ltd. from January 2001 onwards. Dr. R.'swork at Gemba focused on facilitating organizational change and growth, with a particular emphasis on learning & development. Dr. R. partnered with large organizations to implement key initiatives such as change management, culture building, leadership development, and employee engagement.

In 2012, Dr. Karthikeyan became a Partner at Harrison Assessments Int'l. Dr. R. also served as the Chief Executive Officer of IFTDO (International Federation Of Training And Development Organizations) from December 2019 to June 2021.

Prior to their consulting and leadership roles, Dr. Karthikeyan worked as an HR Manager at Hyundai Motor India Ltd. from 1996 to 1999. Dr. R. was responsible for recruiting and training over 1500 employees and establishing HR processes. Before that, they served as a Training Manager at Tube Investments of India Limited in 1995.

Dr. R. Karthikeyan's education history begins in 1985 when they enrolled at PSG College of Arts and Sciences to pursue a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Psychology. They completed their degree in 1987. Following that, in 1987, Dr. Karthikeyan attended Shaney Institute of Health Sciences and obtained a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) degree in Clinical Psychology, which was completed in 1989. Subsequently, they pursued a Ph.D. in Psychology at the University of Madras from 1990 to 1993. In 2020, Dr. R. Karthikeyan participated in an Executive Education program in Innovation of Products & Services: MITS Approach to Design Thinking at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The program focused on Design Thinking.
