Andrew Dawe, P.Eng.

Andrew Dawe, P.Eng. has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Their most recent position is with Harvest Operations Corp. where they are currently working as a SAGD Operations professional since December 2021. Prior to this, they worked as an Operations & Maintenance Coordinator at Cahill Ganotec from November 2019 to November 2022, where they were responsible for ensuring proper functioning of equipment and coordinating maintenance activities.

From January 2019 to November 2019, Andrew worked at Pembina Pipeline Corporation as part of the IPL Project Operations team, where they successfully commissioned various systems and planned plant tie-ins for a new PDH plant.

Before that, they served as a Secondary Extraction CSU Operations professional at Suncor under Petroplan from August 2017 to June 2018. In this role, they performed system walkdowns and reviewed commissioning procedures.

Andrew also has experience as a Senior Pilot Plant Contract Operator at Fractal Systems Inc. from March 2016 to April 2017. During this time, they were involved in the construction, commissioning, and regular operation of a plant expansion.

In addition, they worked as a Logistics Floater at McCrum's Office Furnishings from October 2015 to March 2016, assisting with delivering and installing office furnishings.

Earlier in their career, Andrew worked as an Energy Loss Adjuster, EIT at Braemar Technical Services from April 2011 to December 2014, where they investigated and reported on complex losses in the oil and gas sectors. Andrew also worked as a Pre-Commissioning Contract Operator at Shell from January 2010 to August 2010, and as a Chargehand Operator at Beam Suntory from September 2009 to January 2010.

Andrew gained valuable experience through multiple mechanical engineering intern positions at various companies from May 2004 to May 2008, where they operated and coordinated oilfield projects, performed research, and gathered data.

Throughout their work experience, Andrew has demonstrated their skills in operations, maintenance coordination, commissioning, system walkdowns, and project coordination.

Andrew Dawe, P.Eng. has a diverse education history spanning multiple fields. Andrew obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Calgary from 2005 to 2009. In 2017, they pursued further education at ABSA, where they obtained an ABSA Steam Ticket in the field of 2nd Class. Previously, from 2003 to 2005, they attended Mount Royal University, earning an Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) degree in Biology, General. Additionally, they obtained an ABSA Steam Ticket in 3rd Class from ABSA in 2003-2004, and a 4th Class ABSA Steam Ticket from ABSA in 1999-2000. Furthermore, they completed a Process Operations program at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) in 1999-2000, specializing in Petroleum Technology/Technician. In terms of certifications, they hold a Professional Engineer designation from APEGA, obtained in June 2019. Andrew also obtained a Level 2 Adjuster certification from the Alberta Insurance Council in May 2013. Furthermore, they possess a 3rd Class Engineer's Certificate of Competency and a 4th Class Engineer's Certificate of Competency from the Alberta Boilers Safety Association. Andrew is also a Chartered Insurance Professional, certified by the Canadian Insurance Institute. Their education and certifications reflect a well-rounded background in mechanical engineering, insurance, and steam operations.
