Melissa Carballo

Melissa Carballo, SPHR has a diverse and extensive background in human resources. Melissa is currently working at Harvest Sherwood Food Distributors, where they started as a Sr. HR Generalist and progressed to Human Resources Manager. Melissa is currently serving as the Human Resources Director. Prior to that, they gained experience at Veridiam as a Human Resources Generalist and HR Assistant/Recruiter. Melissa also worked at AMN Healthcare as a Talent Acquisition Consultant. In addition, Melissa has experience in managing contingent workforce and vendor programs at Yoh, A Day & Zimmermann Company, and WorkforceLogic, where they worked onsite at Sony Computer Entertainment America. Melissa began their career at Kelly Services as a District Sales Manager and Branch Sales Manager, responsible for building relationships with national and local companies. Melissa also worked as a Direct Hire Recruiter at Culver Careers. Melissa's work experience showcases their expertise in various HR functions, including employee relations, recruitment, talent acquisition, and program management.

Melissa Carballo, SPHR, has a diverse education background. In 1997-1999, they attended Grossmont College and completed coursework in General Education. Melissa then pursued Business Administration at Kelsey Jenny College from 2001-2002. Melissa later enrolled at the University of Phoenix in 2002-2003, majoring in Business Administration and Management, General. Alongside their academic achievements, they obtained the Senior Professional in Human Resources® (SPHR®) Certification from HRCI in June 2021.
