David Tuft

David Tuft has a diverse work experience in the field of clean energy and climate policy. David currently serves as the Director of Communications at Harvest Thermal, where they are responsible for managing communication strategies for the company. Prior to that, they worked as an Advisor at Harvest Thermal, where they assisted the CEO in raising seed funding and developing pitch materials.

Before joining Harvest Thermal, David founded their own company called 2030 Solutions in 2017. As the founder, they focused on changing capital flows and developing business strategies to accelerate emission reductions. David worked with various organizations and stakeholders to build capacity and increase effectiveness in the clean energy sector.

David also worked as a Development Consultant at Majority Action, where they stabilized funder relationships and tripled revenue over three years. David gained experience as a Political Consultant, managing successful campaigns for the KPPCSD Board Director in 2016 and 2020.

In their earlier career, David served as a Program Director at Energy Foundation, where they directed portfolios of grants focused on clean energy and climate policy. David also played a key role in developing and growing clean energy networks and initiatives. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Strategic Partnerships at the Alliance for Climate Protection, where they developed partnerships for Al Gore's climate campaign.

David's experience also includes working as a Campaign Director at the Natural Resources Defense Council, where they directed a campaign for federal cap and trade policy. David utilized digital advocacy campaigns and organized town hall meetings to demonstrate support across different communities.

Prior to that, they served as the Director of Special Projects at Breakthrough Technologies Institute, managing a foundation grant and leading campaigns to advance regulatory policies. David Tuft attended Hampshire College from 1978 to 1980, where they studied Political Science. David then transferred to Hunter College and pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree from 1987 to 1990. At Hunter College, they participated in the Honors Program and focused their studies on Political Science and Communications.
