Jacob Whitehurst

Jacob Whitehurst has had an extensive work experience history. Jacob started off as an Assistant Golf Professional at Drayton Park Golf Club, where they supported the management of the golf club's shop and promoted sales and coaching services. Jacob then worked as a Golf Activity Counsellor and General Counsellor at Camp Echo, where they planned and delivered golf lessons and games for children and provided 24-hour supervision to a cabin of children.

After that, Jacob worked as a Hospitality Assistant at Sheffield United Football Club before moving on to Sheffield Hallam University. At the university, they held multiple roles including S&E Technology Course Ambassador, where they assisted lecturers with course talks and guided prospective students, and Performance Analyst, where they analyzed performance data. Jacob also briefly worked as a Hallam Fund Fundraiser.

Jacob then joined Compass Group as a COVID-19 Mobile Test Site Manager, supervising various areas of the primary COVID testing site in Sheffield and being part of the mobile testing units. Jacob ensured a safe environment for customers during an uncertain time.

Currently, Jacob is working at Hawk-Eye Innovations Ltd as the Operations Lead - People. Jacob started in February 2023 and is responsible for overseeing operations related to people. Jacob previously worked as a Tennis Systems Operator at the same company.

Jacob Whitehurst attended Sheffield Hallam University from 2019 to 2022, where they pursued a degree in Sport & Exercise Technology with a focus on Sports and Exercise. Prior to that, from 2009 to 2011, they studied Sports Performance and Excellence - BTEC Level 3 at Birmingham Metropolitan College. Alongside their formal education, they also obtained additional certifications, including "Exploring Sports Coaching and Psychology" from The Open University, "Business Analytics Foundations: Predictive, Prescriptive, and Experimental Analytics" and "Learning Data Analytics" from LinkedIn. Jacob also received the Hallam Award - Bronze from Sheffield Hallam University in 2000.
