Andrew Cleminshaw

Andrew Cleminshaw serves as the Humanities Department Chair and Dean of Academic Systems at Hawken School since July 2003, where responsibilities include creating and publishing upper school daily calendars, managing faculty assignments, coordinating safety drills, and reviewing school policies. As the Summer Academic Programs Head, Andrew collaborates with stakeholders to design curriculum, manage program finances, and oversee enrollment processes. In previous roles at Hawken, Andrew held positions such as Faculty Chair of the Hawken Integrity Council and Humanities Teacher. Prior teaching experience includes English positions at The Webb Schools, Columbus Academy, and the Academy of Our Lady of Guam, with additional coaching and advising responsibilities. Andrew holds a Master's degree in Liberal Arts from St. John's College and a BA in English and History from Amherst College.
