Pieri Munro currently serves as the Deputy Chief Executive for Iwi & Community at NZ Police, focusing on developing partnerships with Māori, Pacific, and community groups to enhance public safety and reduce crime. In addition, Pieri leads the Māori Partnerships Team at Hawke's Bay Regional Council, emphasizing engagement with tangata whenua and internal capacity building. Previously, Pieri held the role of Interim Chief Executive Officer during the Cyclone Gabrielle response and worked at WorkSafe New Zealand as a National Adviser Maori. Earlier experience includes serving as General Manager for Mont D'Or Resources Ltd in New Zealand.
