Julia Roberts

Julia has experience in a wide range of higher education and research projects and is skilful at coordinating complex schemes and large multi-disciplinary design teams. She is a Partner of Hawkins\Brown and is part of the practices Education and Research team. She has successfully managed a number of award winning buildings for clients including Royal Veterinary College & Cardiff University.

Julia has extensive experience leading stakeholder engagement sessions and brief development to assemble robust briefs for clients to go onto develop successful design solutions. She is rigorous in understanding the detail and standards of technical facilities to enable this to inform briefing. Julia has led numerous construction projects and has experience in dealing with complex project delivery. She has managed the planning process to obtain planning for highly sensitive heritage and conservation sites in London and Belfast. She is a member of Higher Education Design Quality Forum (HEDQF) and Designers for Science and has contributed and spoken at education and lab conferences in Europe and the US.

Julia is a keen runner and likes to explore and experience new cities by pounding the pavements.
