Kasuntharu Rathnayake

Kasuntharu Rathnayake began working as an Intern at Bank of Ceylon in September 2017 until March 2018. They then joined the University of Colombo as an Undergraduate from January 2019 to June 2022. In December 2021, Kasuntharu took on a role as a Business Intelligence Analytics Intern at Dialog Axiata PLC, where they were involved in the MLOps team and worked on the development, testing, deployment, operation, and monitoring of machine learning models. They stayed with Dialog Axiata PLC until July 2022. Currently, Kasuntharu is employed as a Data Engineer at Hayleys Advantis Limited, starting in September 2022.

Kasuntharu Rathnayake pursued a Master's degree in Big Data Analytics from Robert Gordon University, completing the program from 2023 to 2025. Prior to this, Kasuntharu Rathnayake obtained a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Statistics and Mathematical Finance from the University of Colombo, attending from 2019 to 2022. Before starting higher education, Kasuntharu Rathnayake attended Maliyadeva College from 2002 to 2015. It should be noted that the degree obtained from Maliyadeva College is not specified. Additionally, Kasuntharu Rathnayake has obtained various certifications, including "Creating Multi Task Models With Keras" and "Transfer Learning for NLP with TensorFlow Hub" from Coursera in July 2021. In June 2021, they also completed certifications such as "Machine Learning & Deep Learning in Python & R" from Udemy, "Python Data Structures" from the University of Michigan | Coursera, and "Programming for Everybody (Getting Started with Python)" from the University of Michigan | Coursera in November 2020.
