Sadna Dissanayake

Sadna Dissanayake, PhD has a diverse range of work experience spanning over several years. Sadna currently holds the position of Head of Business Excellence at Hayleys Advantis Limited since September 2017. Sadna has also worked as a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Kelaniya Sri Lanka since August 2015 and at the University of Moratuwa since January 2012. In terms of their industry experience, Sadna has worked as a Supply Chain Operations professional at Hemas Pharmaceuticals (Pvt) Ltd/Hemas Surgicals & Diagnostics (Pvt) Ltd from May 2016 to July 2017. Sadna has also served as a Lead Consultant at Athena Logistics Consultants from April 2015 to May 2016 and as the Head of Logistics Solutions and Business Systems at both Logiwiz NW Limited from April 2014 to April 2015 and at Logiwiz Limited from April 2008 to April 2014. Additionally, they have held the position of Lecturer for Microsoft Office, ECDL, and Java at Gateway School of Computing from January 1998 to April 2003.

Sadna Dissanayake, PhD has an extensive education history in the field of engineering, industrial management, operations research, information technology, and finance. In 1999, they began their academic journey at the University of Colombo, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance & Computational Mathematics. Sadna successfully completed their undergraduate studies in 2003.

Following their undergraduate degree, Sadna pursued further education at the University of Colombo, where they obtained a Bachelor of Information Technology degree in 2003. This degree provided their with a strong foundation in the field of information technology.

In 2008, Sadna embarked on a Master of Science program in Operations Research at the University of Moratuwa. This program allowed their to deepen their understanding of operations research and its practical applications. Sadna completed their master's degree in 2011.

Building on their previous educational achievements, Sadna continued their academic journey by enrolling in a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program in Engineering/Industrial Management at the University of Kelaniya Sri Lanka. From 2017 to 2021, they dedicated their time and efforts to conducting research and advancing knowledge in this field, ultimately earning their PhD.
