Gelver León Diaz

Gelver León Diaz has over twenty years of work experience in logistics and operations management. Gelver began their career in 1999 as an Analyst of Logistics at DHL, where they implemented databases for the control of deliveries to customers, optimizing the time by 75%. In 2002, they moved to Unisys as a Financial Analyst, where they were responsible for billing, closing of the month, adjustments of accounts and reconciliations. In 2004, they joined Telefónica Colombia as a Purchasing Professional, where they negotiated, quoted and prepared purchase orders for the company's user areas. In 2006, they returned to DHL as a Logistics Operations Manager, where they supervised logistics actions and implemented necessary improvement actions in coordination with other functions and areas of the company. In 2011, they joined Grupo Quick as a Logistics and Supply Chain Manager, where they defined the logistics business line and established service policies aligned with the company's strategic objectives. In 2012, they moved to Bargol Assets S.A. as a Logistics and Operations Manager, where they managed and organized the activities of importation, storage and distribution of the company's assets. In 2014, they joined AbbVie as a Distribution Manager for the Andean Region, where they actively participated in the generation of information inputs for S&OP and managed the importation, storage and distribution of the company's assets. In 2017, they moved to World Courier as a Manager of LATAM Operations Shared Services, where they built and maintained relationships with World Courier offices, clients, agents, airlines, management agents and suppliers. Finally, in 2022 they joined Hazel Technologies, Inc. as a Regional Logistics Manager.

Gelver León Diaz has an extensive education history. Gelver obtained their Master of Business Administration - MBA from EUDE Business School in the field of Supply Chain & international Logistics from 2019 to 2021. In 2002 to 2003, they obtained an Especialización en “Dirección Financiera y Desarrollo Organizacional” from Universidad Central (CO) in the field of Finanzas, general. In 2017, they obtained a Yellow Belt internarional Certification from Universidad Sergio Arboleda in the field of Lean Six Sigma. In 2007, they obtained a Diplomado en Gerencia Estratégica de Costos y Finanzas Corporativas from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in the field of Finanzas, general. From 1997 to 2002, they obtained a Profesional en Comunicación Organizacional from Universidad Central (CO) in the field of Operaciones y Logistica. Additionally, they obtained an Evaluación de Riesgos en la Cadena de Suministros from Basc Café Colombia in March 2018 and a Yellow Belt from Lean Six Sigma Institute LLC in November 2017.
