Hamid Hashemi

Hamid Hashemi is the chief operating officer of HBC Properties and Investments. In this role, Mr. Hashemi is responsible for new investments, M&A, real estate repositioning, and strategic planning for HBC’s portfolio companies.

In addition to these duties, Mr. Hashemi also serves as vice chair of the board of directors for Convene, the premiere provider of meeting, event, and workspace.

Prior to joining HBC, Mr. Hashemi worked as the chief product & experience officer for WeWork, where he contributed to the company’s restructuring and successful IPO in October 2021. While at WeWork, he was also responsible for the design, construction, and product teams, and oversaw real estate development for 250 WeWork locations. He previously served as the founder and chief executive officer of IPIC Theaters and Muvico Theatres respectively.

Mr. Hashemi holds a Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology from the Florida Atlantic University.
