Karl Simms has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Karl currently holds the position of Director, A/R & Client Engagement at HBCS since July 2019. Previously, they worked at Mount Sinai Health System as a Senior CBO Client Service Executive from December 2017 to June 2019. Prior to that, Karl was employed at Conifer Health Solutions as a Client Delivery Manager from September 2013 to November 2017. During their time at Conifer, they managed revenue budgets for multiple clients, implemented effective client management strategies to increase collection rates, and provided expertise on MACRA legislation. Before that, they worked at OptumInsight as a Senior Recovery Analyst/Regional Account Manager from April 2012 to September 2013, where they oversaw credit balance and overpayment resolution for multiple hospitals. Finally, Karl served as the Chief Information Officer at SMP Health System from February 2010 to January 2011, where they coordinated strategic planning and technology evaluation across various healthcare units.
