Muhammad Asif Paryani has extensive work experience in the field of compliance and supervision. Muhammad Asif started their career as an Advocate & Consultant at HKD Advocates & Consultants in 2005. In 2006, they joined SECP and served in various roles, including Assistant Director, Deputy Director, and Joint Director in the Monitoring & Inspection Wing, Enforcement Wing, and Offsite Monitoring and Surveillance Wing II. Muhammad Asif worked at SECP until 2022, before joining HBL Asset Management Limited as the Head of Compliance.

Muhammad Asif Paryani's education history includes multiple degrees and certifications in various fields. In 2017, they attended the Institute of Forensic Experts and obtained certification as a Certified Forensic Expert, specializing in forensic examination, audit, and investigation. From 2001 to 2008, Paryani studied at S.M Law College, where they earned a Bachelor of Laws (L.L.B) degree and a Master of Laws (L.L.M) degree, with a focus on corporate law. Additionally, from 2000 to 2005, they pursued studies at the Institute Of Cost & Management Accountant of Pakistan, resulting in a degree as a Fellow Cost and Management Accountant (FCMA), with a comprehensive understanding of finance, auditing, and accounting.
