John Kettell

John Kettell, PE, is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in project management and engineering roles within the transportation sector. Currently serving as Transit Principal Project Manager at HDR since December 2023, John previously held the position of Senior Project Manager at HNTB, where notable projects included the Van Wyck Expressway Expansion and the Amtrak Kearny Substation Design. John's career began at Long Island Rail Road, spanning from April 1990 to July 2020, where roles varied from Engineer of Structures to Project Manager, managing multi-million dollar budgets and overseeing critical infrastructure projects. John holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Stony Brook University and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from SUNY Oneonta.
