Szymon Wijas

Szymon Wijas is currently a Mechanical Engineer Intern at HDR, actively engaged in a critical data center project where resource demand projections are essential for optimal project staffing. Previously, Szymon worked as a Presidential Intern at GE Aerospace and as a Project Engineer Intern at McHugh Construction, where responsibilities included monitoring shop drawing logs, managing RFIs, and gaining insights into various project management tools. Earlier experience includes working as a Carpenter at Paluch Construction Inc., where remodeling tasks were completed, along with a role as a Store Associate/Chef Assistant at Polish Deli. Szymon is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University, following the completion of a high school diploma from Oak Lawn Community High School.
