Michael Marchand

Michael Marchand has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. Michael began their career as an intern at ROAR in 2008, followed by internships at Leigh Steinberg Sports & Entertainment in 2009 and Pepperdine University Athletic Department in 2010. Michael then transitioned to a role as an Associate Attorney at Blakely Law Group, where they handled approximately 100 cases specializing in soft intellectual property and commercial disputes.

In 2015, Michael joined Headspace Inc. as a Director and later became the VP and Head of Legal. In this role, they managed legal workstreams for financing rounds and M&A activities. Michael also provided counsel on various legal matters such as consumer protection, data privacy, employment, intellectual property, and more. Additionally, they managed litigation, arbitration, and pre-litigation disputes.

In 2018, Michael became a Charter Member at TechGC, and in 2021, they joined Headspace Health, Inc. as the Deputy General Counsel.

Michael Marchand has a Bachelor's degree in Communications and Spanish from the University of San Diego, which they obtained between the years 2002 and 2006. Michael then pursued further education and obtained a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from Pepperdine Law School between the years 2007 and 2011. Additionally, they also attended the Pepperdine Graziadio Business School from 2008 to 2011, where they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. The field of study for their JD and MBA degrees is unspecified.
