Jason Lomnitz

Jason Lomnitz has a diverse background in data science, engineering, and research. Jason is currently serving as the Director of Data Science at HeadSpin, where they have been since 2020. Prior to that, they held the position of Principal Engineer at HeadSpin and Sr. Machine Learning Engineer at the same company. Before joining HeadSpin, Jason worked at VSP Global as a Sr. R&D Software Engineer and R&D Software Engineer. Jason also has experience in academia, having served as a Postdoctoral Scholar and Graduate Student Researcher at UC Davis, where they conducted mathematical analysis of complex systems and developed new software and theory in the field of nonlinear dynamics. In addition, they worked as a Visiting Scholar at UC Davis. Jason's earlier experience includes a role as a Research Assistant at Centro de Ciencias Genomicas - UNAM.

Jason Lomnitz earned a Licentiate degree in Genomic Sciences from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México from 2006 to 2011. Jason then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biomedical Engineering at the University of California, Davis from 2010 to 2015.
