Shae Knowlton

Shae Knowlton joins The Headstrong Project as Grant Coordinator. She has a diverse professional background with both grant and nonprofit program experience. She began her career volunteering at local animal and homeless shelters before working with the University of Arizona. She also worked for Special Olympics Arizona and helped manage the Special Olympics Unified Champion Schools program. The program focused on social inclusion through intentionally planned and implemented activities to promote systems-wide change.

Shae holds a BS from Arizona State University in Nonprofit Leadership and Management, as well an MBA in Business Administration from Grand Canyon University. Born and raised in Arizona, she enjoys the heat, swimming in the summer, and consistent attacks from scorpions. Outside the office, Shae loves to play video games with her partner, go for hikes in the desert, and travel to Japan to visit friends as often as possible. She also enjoys spending time with her family and spoiling her nieces and nephews whenever possible.
