Mike Barnes

Mike Barnes has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Mike started their career in 1993 as a Contracts Buyer at Scottish and Southern Energy. Mike then moved on to become a Senior Buyer at Southern Electric Contracting before transitioning to a role as Purchasing Manager at Johnson Controls, where they managed vendor relationships for outsourced FM services.

In 2003, Barnes joined B&Q as a Category Manager, responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies for various indirect spend categories. Mike later became Purchasing Manager for Property Services, where they played a key role in the refurbishment and new store program.

In 2008, they joined Aviva as a Senior Manager, responsible for hospital and consultant management. During their time there, they held various roles before joining Healix International and HX Global in 2016 as Head of Supply Chain Management.

In 2018, Barnes joined Healix Health Services as the Operations Director. Currently, they hold the position of Partnerships Director.

Mike Barnes attended Bitterne Park Comprehensive from 1984 to 1987. Mike later pursued higher education at Southampton City from 1996 to 1998, where they obtained an HNC degree in Business & Finance.
