Sarah K. Belfort

Sarah K. Belfort is a seasoned communications and development manager currently leading content-gathering efforts and managing social media at Health Equity International since December 2021. With extensive experience in human rights advocacy and program development, Sarah worked as a policy and advocacy advisor at the Institute for Justice & Democracy in Haiti, and served as co-director of programs and development at Friends of Matènwa. Previous roles include program policy advisor for Oxfam America, where Sarah focused on rights-based program development in Haiti and globally. Additionally, Sarah has a background in interpretation and translation, fair trade coordination, and supports small farmer cooperatives through a program assistant role at SECID. Educationally, Sarah holds a Master of International Service in International Development from American University and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Brown University.
