Kathryn Howell

Kathryn Howell serves as the Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel at Healthfirst since May 2023. Prior to this role, Kathryn held the position of Chief Legal Officer at Well from January 2020 to June 2023. Kathryn’s experience further includes serving as Acting President at CareConnect Insurance Company, Inc., and North Shore-LIJ Health Plan, Inc. from January 2018 to January 2020, and as SVP, Chief Legal Officer at the same companies from April 2013 to January 2020. Before these roles, Kathryn was a Partner at Dentons from February 2009 to April 2013, specializing in insurance regulatory matters, and at Dewey and LeBoeuf from September 1992 to February 2009, where Kathryn began in the London office and later headed the health insurance practice in New York. Educationally, Kathryn earned a JD from Boston University School of Law and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Brown University.
