Maja Castillo M.D.

Maja Castillo MD, MHA serves as the Assistant Vice President Medical Director at Healthfirst since January 2020, overseeing clinical direction and program activities of the Clinical Partnerships department to enhance member access to care and health outcomes. Previously, Maja worked as an Attending Physician at Tribeca Pediatrics and as an Assistant Attending Pediatrician and Instructor in Clinical Pediatrics at New York-Presbyterian Hospital. Maja's early career included roles as a Pediatric Resident at Children's Hospital of New York and a Pediatrician at Whole Child Center. Maja's academic credentials include an MHA from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health, an M.D. from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, and a B.A. in Psychology and Pre-medicine from the University of Chicago, complemented by international research experiences in Spain and Peru.
