Amy Marchello

Amy Marchello currently serves as the National Public Health Emergency Manager at Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, a position held since April 2024. Prior to this role, Amy was a Response Manager at the Ministry for Primary Industries from November 2021 to April 2024 and worked as a Disaster Management Officer for the New Zealand Red Cross between April 2020 and November 2021. Previous experience includes positions at RSC Mining & Mineral Exploration, FEMA, Hagerty Consulting, Macy's, and the US Department of Health and Human Services, highlighting a strong background in public health, emergency management, and disaster planning. Academic achievements include a Homeland Security Emergence Program from the Naval Postgraduate School and a Master of Science in Biohazardous Threat Agents & Emerging Infectious Diseases from Georgetown University, along with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Bucknell University.
