Mark Janse

Mark Janse is a Research Software Engineer at HEALTH-RI since September 2023, focusing on the development of Python applications for medical imaging data exchange and managing a large medical imaging repository. Mark has been a PhD student at UMC Utrecht since October 2018, researching the prediction of breast cancer responses to chemotherapy using MRI scans and AI techniques. Mark also served as a lecturer at Technische Universiteit Eindhoven, teaching medical image analysis to biomedical engineering students. Prior experiences include a graduate research internship at Radboudumc, a role as an assistant teacher at Stichting Studiebegeleiding Leiden, and a hardware engineering position at Whitebox Systems. Mark holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and Biomedical Technology, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, all from Eindhoven University of Technology.
