Jean-Étienne Parrot is a software engineer with over 12 years of experience in the industry. In 2008, they began their career as a Web Designer Intern at BABYLONE AVENUE ARCHITECTES. In 2009, they worked as a Java Development Intern at Penbase. In 2010, they worked as an Agile Methodologies Intern at Gameloft and a Mobile Development Engineer at Scimob. In 2013, they worked as an iOS Developer at Big Dog Creative and a Software Engineer and iOS Tech Lead at Outware Mobile. In 2017, they worked as a Senior Developer at Itty Bitty Apps. From 2018 to 2022, they worked at VLM Health as Head of Mobile Engineering, CPO and Co-Founder, leading the mobile engineering and product team and growing the flagship iOS app from its early stage to the feature-rich version it is today. Jean-Étienne also led the internal effort to build an MDD-compliant (medical device) version of the app on iOS and Android, and participated in fundraising and investor communication. In 2022, they began working as an Engineering Manager for Mobile at Healthengine.

Jean-Étienne Parrot attended Prépa Joffre from 2005 to 2007. Jean-Étienne then went on to Institut National des Science Appliquées de Lyon from 2007 to 2010, where they earned a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, and IT. In 2009 and 2010, they attended Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires, where they earned an Ingénieur in Ingénierie Informatique. In November 2016, they obtained a Professional Scrum Master Training certification from Scrum.org.
