Kankana Barua

Kankana Barua has extensive experience in human resources, with their most recent position being the Group Human Resource & IT Head at Healthium Medtech Limited, starting in February 2019. Prior to that, they were on sabbatical from September 2018 to February 2019. Kankana also worked as the Chief People Officer at Tally Solutions Pvt Ltd from October 2013 to September 2018. Before that, they held various roles at Jubilant Biosys/Chemsys, including Senior Vice President & Global Head of Human Resource and Vice President & Global Head of Human Resource, from October 2005 to October 2013. Kankana Barua also worked as the Senior Manager HR at Sanmar Specialities Ltd from August 2004 to May 2005.

Kankana Barua obtained a Certification in Strategic Talent Management from the Indian School of Business in 2008. Prior to that, they completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from Pondicherry University between 1999 and 2001. Kankana also holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Gauhati University, which they earned from 1990 to 1994. In addition, they completed a Company Secretary course from The Institute of Company Secretaries of India from 1988 to 1990. Kankana Barua has also obtained additional certifications in leadership and coaching from LinkedIn in 2018.
