Robert Mino has over 18 years of professional experience in the life sciences, healthcare, and small business industries. Robert began their career in 2003 as a Roche Diagnostics Applied Sciences employee. In 2005, they joined Thermo Fisher Scientific as a DNA Sequencing Western Hemisphere and Genetic Systems employee. In 2008, Robert became a Patent Fellow at the University of Florida Office of Technology Licensing, where they processed invention disclosures. From 2011 to 2015, they worked at Applied Food Technologies as General Counsel and VP of Sales and Marketing. Robert then moved to Somahlution as Sr. Director and General Manager in 2014, followed by a role as Intellectual Property and Clinical Trial Counsel at Micelle BioPharma in 2015. In 2019, they joined HealthLynked as a Director on the Board of Directors. In 2020, Robert began working at the University of Florida as an Entrepreneur In Residence - UF Innovate Ventures. Robert also started working as Fractional General Counsel (outside counsel) for Adelia Therapeutics. In April 2021, they were promoted to Deputy General Counsel and Intellectual Property Counsel at Cybin Inc., where they are currently performing full array of corporate legal duties of a GC for a public biopharma company, overseeing IP, and serving as a member of the Senior Leadership Team and R&D Leadership Team.
Robert Mino has a diverse educational background. Robert obtained a Master's Degree in Molecular Genetics and Pharmacology from the University of Florida College of Medicine, a Juris Doctor (JD), Cum Laude in Intellectual Property Law from the University of Florida, a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Management and Entrepreneurship from the University of Florida - Warrington College of Business, and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Genetics and Chemistry from The University of Georgia. Robert also completed a course in Copyright Law at Harvard Law School. In addition, they hold certifications from the USPTO as a Registered Patent Attorney, from the Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society (RAPS) as a Regulatory Affairs Certificate: Medical Devices and Pharmaceuticals, from the United States District Court for The Southern District of Florida as Admitted to Practice, S.D.FLA., from the D.C. Bar as Licensed to Practice Law in District of Columbia, from the Florida Supreme Court as Licensed to Practice Law in Florida, and from the Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers as Licensed to Practice Law in Massachusetts.
