Jeff Newell

Jeff Newell has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Jeff most recently worked at Healthmonix as a Data Scientist/Engineer/Product Developer, where they focused on web development using .NET/Service Stack/SQL Server. Before that, they worked at GCR Inc. as a .NET Full-stack Lead Software Engineer, leading a team of developers in the development of an online government services platform. Jeff Newell received their Bachelor's degree in Mathematics with a minor in German from The Johns Hopkins University, where they studied from 1985 to 1990. Jeff then pursued graduate studies in Mathematics at Louisiana State University. In 2012, they enrolled in Temple University for graduate studies in Computer Science, specializing in Machine Learning and Modeling, as well as Big Data. Jeff also has some coursework in Secondary Education and Teaching, specifically focused on Mathematics, from the University of New Orleans.

In addition to their formal education, Jeff has obtained several certifications. In 2009, they completed the iOS Developer Nanodegree program from Udacity. In 2014, they achieved the Java 7 Certification (1Z0-803 Java SE 7 Programmer I) from Oracle. In 2015, they obtained certifications in Objective-C Essential Training and Swift Essential Training from lynda.com. Jeff also received a certificate in Programming Mobile Applications for Android Handheld Systems: Part 1 from Coursera Course Certificates in 2015.
