Allison Bustamante has a varied work experience. Allison began their career in 2013 as a Child Visitation Supervisor at Renaissance Child Visitation Services. In 2014, they worked as a Psychiatric Technician at the University of Utah Neuropsychiatric Institute and as an Adolescent Support Staff at Odyssey House of Utah. In 2015, they became a Quality Control Technician at BlackMarket Labs, and in 2016 they were a Clinical Research Coordinator at the University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics. In 2019, they took on the role of Quality Specialist at Owlet Baby Care, and in 2021 they became Program Manager at HealthRhythms. In each role, they have been responsible for tasks such as coordinating research projects, conducting psychiatric interviews, administering medication, facilitating conflict resolution groups, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Allison Bustamante holds a B.A. in Psychology and Conflict Resolution from Brigham Young University-Hawaii, which they obtained in 2013. Allison also holds an ETQ Reliance Administrator Certification from ETQ, obtained in March 2021, an ISO 9001 Lead Auditor - Quality Certification from BSI, obtained in December 2019, and an Intercultural Peace Building Certification from the David O. McKay Center for Intercultural Understanding, obtained in December 2012.
