Reneé Leigh Stephenson's work experience begins in 1999 as an Adjunct Instructor at the State University of New York at Buffalo, where they taught a course on Women in Contemporary Society. In 2002, they joined Rehabilitation Support Services as a Case Coordinator, providing case management for SPMI diagnosed clients. Reneé Leigh then became a Service Plan Writer, responsible for developing rehabilitation programs for clients.

In 2004, Stephenson started working at the Alliance for Positive Health, initially as a Care Manager and later as a Program Manager, overseeing Medicaid Health Home and DSRIP programs across multiple counties. Reneé Leigh eventually took on the role of Assistant Director of Program Services, leading and developing Medicaid Health Home and Population Health programs. Reneé Leigh played a key role in establishing the first HH+ program, leading to APH designation as a SMH CMA by OMH.

Since 2012, Stephenson has also been involved in their own business, Reneé Leigh Stephenson Illustration, where they work as a freelance illustrator. Reneé Leigh takes commissions, manages social media and advertising profiles, and maintains their website. Reneé Leigh is fluent in Adobe CC and Procreate and operates in compliance with state and federal tax codes.

Most recently, Stephenson joined Healthy Alliance in 2022 as a Senior Business Analyst. In this role, they build and maintains collaborative relationships, conducts complex analysis and design, and focuses on optimizing efficiency and quality. Reneé Leigh applies various methods to achieve these goals.

Reneé Leigh Stephenson has a Bachelor's degree from the University at Buffalo. The specific field of study for this degree is unknown. In 2023, Reneé enrolled at UC Berkeley Extension to pursue further education in Business Analysis Fundamentals.
