Jonathan Thompson

Jonathan Thompson has a strong background in information security and cloud technology. Jonathan is currently working as the Director of Information Security at HeartFlow, Inc, a position they have held since November 2023. Before that, they were the Cloud and Product Security Manager at the same company from March 2022 to November 2023. Prior to joining HeartFlow, Inc, Jonathan worked at AARP as a Cloud Security Architect from November 2020 to March 2022 and as a Lead Cloud Security/DevOps Engineer from September 2016 to October 2020. Jonathan also served as a Senior DevOps Engineer at Modis, on a contract with AARP, from May 2014 to September 2016. Earlier in their career, Jonathan held positions at Getty Images as a Senior Systems Engineer from May 2013 to May 2014, Cascadeo Corporation as the Manager of U.S. Systems Engineering from July 2012 to February 2013, Serials Solutions as a Principal Systems Administrator from July 2010 to July 2012, and as an IT Consultant as an Independent Consultant from November 2009 to October 2010. Jonathan started their career as a Systems Engineer at POP from May 2007 to January 2010 and as an IT Manager at ColeJenest & Stone from November 2005 to April 2007.

Jonathan Thompson has a Master of Science degree in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance from Western Governors University, which they obtained from 2021 to 2022. Prior to this, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in the same field from the same university, completing it from 2020 to 2021. Additionally, Jonathan holds a certification as a Certified vCISO - Level 2 from SecurityStudio, and has obtained multiple certifications in various areas of cybersecurity from institutions such as Stanford Online, ISACA, Amazon Web Services (AWS), CompTIA, (ISC)², AXELOS Global Best Practice, Cloud Security Alliance, and Offensive Security.
