Cyrus Mehr, Ph.D., has over 30 years of work experience in research and development. Cyrus currently holds the position of Vice President of Research and Development at Hearthside Food Solutions since August 2018. Before that, they served as the Director of Research and Development at Standard Functional Foods Group, Inc. from January 2012 to August 2018. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Innovation at Glanbia Nutritionals, Inc. from 2009 to 2012 and as the Director of Research & Development at Red Arrow from 2004 to 2009. Cyrus also has experience as a Manager-Innovations at McCormick from 1998 to 2004 and as a Sr. Applications Engineer at Sandvik Process Systems from 1994 to 1998. Cyrus began their career as a Research Associate at the University of Tennessee from 1987 to 1994.

Dr. Cyrus Mehr has a Ph.D. in Food Science and Technology (Food Engineering Emphasis) from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, which they completed from 1992 to 1994. Cyrus also holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Food Science and Technology from the same university, earned from 1985 to 1987. In addition, they pursued a Resident Course in Confectionery Technology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2013.
