June Northern

Director of Human Resource and Support Services at Heartland Center for Behavioral Change

June Northern has a diverse work experience in various leadership roles. June is currently serving as the Director of Human Resource and Support Services at Heartland Center for Behavioral Change, where they oversee HR operations, maintenance, IT, and food service. Previously, they worked as the Human Resource Director at Community Action Agency of Greater Kansas City, where they focused on building an engaged team and implementing employee culture initiatives. Prior to that, they served as the Executive Director of Support Services at Heartland Center for Behavioral Change, where they managed daily operations, developed policies and procedures, and reduced legal issues. June also worked as the Senior Center Executive at YMCA of Greater Kansas City, where they increased awareness of programs and services.

June Northern earned a Masters of Public Affairs degree in Nonprofit and Community Service Management from Park University, which they attended from 1993 to 1995. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Central Missouri, where they studied from 1987 to 1991. In 2016, June completed a program at the University of Kansas to become a Certified Public Manager. Additionally, they received a Certificate in Cultural Competency from Lincoln University (MO) in 2008.
