Evelyn Alvarez

Evelyn Alvarez-Richards is an experienced leader in the developmental disabilities field, with over 40 years of dedication to the sector. Currently serving as Chair of the Board of Directors at NY Alliance for Inclusion and Innovation since November 2023, Evelyn previously held the role of Associate Executive Director at HeartShare Human Services of New York since January 1994, overseeing 49 residences and 49 supportive apartments that serve approximately 400 individuals. Evelyn also served as Secretary of the Board for NY Alliance for Inclusion and Innovation from 2006 to December 2023 and was the Assistant Director of Residential Services at Block Institute from January 1993 to January 1994. Evelyn holds a Master's Degree in Disability Studies from the Graduate Center-CUNY, earned between 2006 and 2010.
