James Cornelius has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. James started their career at Criminal Justice IT as a Technology Operations and Governance Analyst from July 2005 to May 2007. James then joined KPMG as a Finance Analyst from June 2007 to April 2011. After that, they worked at BAA as a Finance Analyst from March 2011 to March 2012. Following their time at BAA, they joined Heathrow where they held various roles including Regulated Income Finance Manager from March 2012 to November 2015, Rail Projects/Strategy Manager from November 2015 to June 2018, Public Transport Strategy Lead from June 2018 to May 2020, Sponsor Lead for Major Surface Access Projects from May 2020 to July 2021, and currently serves as the Head of Aviation, Revenue & Strategic Partnerships starting from July 2021.

James Cornelius obtained a Certificate in Corporate Finance from The Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment in 2012. In 2006, they received a Diploma in Management from Oxford Brookes University. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (Honors) degree in Politics at the University of Stirling from 1996 to 2000.
