Janet Gilbert

Janet Gilbert is a multifaceted professional with extensive experience in sustainability, human rights, and project management across various sectors. Currently serving as a Project Assistant & Advisor at Motthida Chin since April 2022, Janet specializes in designing educational courses focused on social responsibility and sustainability. Concurrently, as a Research Assistant at SupplyESChange, Janet conducts in-depth research on human rights legislation and develops advisory reports for clients. In addition, Janet holds the position of Principal Tailor & Sustainability Strategist at alternew, where advocacy for garment sustainability is key. Janet contributes as Project Lead for Hecho Por Nosotros, focusing on developing a Regenerative Sustainability Index, and is involved in strategic planning and community initiatives with Swanson's Fabrics. Janet is also a founding member of the co-lab, promoting collaboration in sustainability within the creative industries. Janet’s educational background includes a JD from the City University of New York School of Law and a MS in Sustainable Management from DePaul University.
